Data Resources

Florida CHARTS: is a one-stop site for Florida public health statistics and community health data.

Population-based statistics can be found at the United States Census Bureau.

The American Community Survey (ACS) is a mandatory, ongoing statistical survey that samples a small percentage of the population every year, giving communities the information they need to plan for investments and services.

The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program is a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. The annual Rankings provide a revealing snapshot of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work, and play. They provide a starting point for change in communities.

Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Inc., the health data warehouse and analytic tool, the Hospital Inpatient & Emergency Department Analytical System, consists of six modules that analyze inappropriate emergency department utilization, avoidable hospital admissions, and other key chronic conditions. Two other data warehouses have been developed - the Medical Facilities Utilization Reporting System and the DRG Data Warehouse. Overall, the Health Data Warehouse is a powerful yet easy tool that provides users with access to, and assistance with, a wide variety of data sets, including the Florida Agency Health Care Administration (AHCA) inpatient admissions and emergency department data, chronic diseases data, diagnostic-related groupings, and prevention quality indicators for adults and children (PQIs and PDIs). These data sets can be organized and stratified by several factors, including hospital, patient demographics, and payer source and charge amount.

Healthy People 2030 | health.gov Healthy People 2030 identifies public health priorities to help individuals, organizations, and communities across the United States improve health and well-being.

Florida Environmental Public Health Tracking works with partners to track diseases that may be related to environmental exposures. This website provides data sets on environmental hazards and associated health outcomes. The purpose of these efforts is to inform communities about disease trends and to design interventions that lead to better health outcomes.
