The HIV/AIDS Surveillance Program conducts the ongoing systematic collection, analysis, evaluation and dissemination of epidemiologic data regarding HIV/AIDS.  Florida Statute 381.0031 requires the reporting of all positive HIV tests, viral loads, and CD4 counts to the Department of Health.  The epidemiologists collect additional data and complete case report forms. The information is analyzed to identify case rates, trends, and disease distribution.  It is then shared with partners and utilized to plan and evaluate prevention and patient care activities.
