The Broward County Health and Sanitary Control Board (Ord. 15-233 et seq.) is a Board established by the Broward County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing Administrative Complaints typically addressing the following:

  • Public pools
  • Food service
  • Mobile home and recreational vehicle parks
  • Biomedical waste
  • Group care
  • Tanning facilities
  • Tattoo facilities
  • Body art
  • Sanitary nuisances
  • Onsite treatment and sewage systems
  • Limited use

The Board is composed of 10 members as follows: an elected city official appointed by the Broward League of Cities, nine citizens, one appointed by each of the members of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners of which: one shall be a health care professional, and one is be a person who is licensed in one of the construction trades.
