The Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) provides sexually transmitted disease (STD) surveillance, partner services, as well as diagnosis and treatment through a contracted provider.

Surveillance

DOH-Broward collects data from health care providers and laboratories on an ongoing and systematic basis regarding all positive test results for STDs in Broward County. These data are used to assure treatment, and provide partner services, and inform prevention activities.

Partner Services Intervention

DOH-Broward provides confidential counseling of people diagnosed with an STD and notification services for sex partners and other at-risk people to prevent the spread of STDs.

Diagnosis and Treatment

DOH-Broward provides free walk-in STD testing, diagnosis and treatment through a contracted provider at the Broward Wellness Center. The Broward Wellness Center location and hours are as follows:
